Tubes

For months we have prayed that December 16th would get here, go well, and help reduce doctor visits and sleepless nights. It has come and gone and went well. Now, we continue the prayers that it will reduce our visits to the doctor and help us all sleep better.

Luke was a great patient and of course all the nurses loved him.
Here are some preop pictures with his new toy. Every cute patient deserves a new Elmo.

Of course these are postop pictures.

I do have to say that he was a cute patient.

Life Is Too Short!

My family suffered a terrible lost this week, as we lost my first cousin Layne. When I think back about the times I was blessed to have with Layne, many memories come to mind. But the one that makes me smile the biggest, is when Les and I asked him to usher for our wedding. He was so excited and thought he looked so good in his tux. When I went back and looked at the pictures, I have to say he was right on target with that thought.

Layne, I wish you knew how many people have spoken of your sweet smile in the last few days. However, as much as we miss you, I hope even more that you are having the time of your life on those streets of gold!!

Layne you will be missed by all!

Monday with the Barclifts

Cori and I take turns every Monday cooking supper for each other . This week we were at the Barclift's house. We had a wonderful meal and a wonderful time! Cori cooked a very tasty roast with potatoes and veggies. Supper was followed by a wonderful introduction....Apple Cider from Ellianos. Yummy, you must give it a try if you have not.

The best part of the night, of course involved Luke and McKenzie. I bought them matching shirts from GAP and we just HAD to take pictures. They will love us for this one day. hehehe

Enjoy!

We headed over to Valdosta Friday afternoon to spend the weekend with the sisters.  We did a little eating out, a little shopping, and a little football watching. It was a great time had by all!

Why can't everyday be during the weekend?

Anyone need a helper?

Look who helped me do the dishes...

Too bad that when he gets old enough to help, he won't be anywhere around.

9 Wonderful Months!

It is hard to believe that 9 months ago today, Luke entered this world. I love to retell the story to others or just retell it in my head. After being on bed rest for a month, Dr. Malmborg decided to induce labor. Luke was born at week 37, making him a few weeks early. He weighed a grand total of 5lbs and 8ozs. God blessed us with a perfect beautiful baby boy. Luke had managed to get the cord wrapped around his neck twice. He had fought so hard to get untangled, that he had bruised and scratched his face. That was our first sign of what a strong personality Luke would have.

Here we are 9 months later! Wow have things changed. We are now crawling, pulling up, cruising around tables and down couches, letting go of the tables/couches to grab your hand and walk to you, and eating up a storm. He gives kisses and smacks his lips to tell you that he is enjoying his food. He wants to talk, but has not quite got that figured out. Sometimes we can coax him into saying DaDa. Les is eating those moments up! Growling is his way of letting you know you are not doing as his pleases. Bless his little temper, in the very near future!!

I have enjoyed every day of the last nine months and I can't wait to see what the next month holds!

Bad Dawgs!

Where did the weekend go? Les and I went to the Georgia/Florida game. That trip accompanied with our big first of the month Wal-Mart trip wiped our weekend out.

If you have every been to a Georgia/Florida game, you understand when I say there is no other game like it. The rivalry, the setting, the people, the game... it all comes together to create the perfect event. We enjoyed tailgating at its finest and people watching (which is one of my favorite activities), before the game. Barbecue, chili, cookies, chips and dips were just a few foods on the menu. Everything was very Yum!

Les and I had a blast at the game (minus the loss). We had the best seats. Bottom row 40 yard line!!! It was a thrill being that close to the action. However, the elderly group behind us, did not enjoy our enthusiasm.

I have a bad habit of getting so wrapped up in watching Hairy, that I forget the game is going on. Once I got home and started looking back at pictures, I realized I had been guilty once again. I think this happens, because in one of my next lives I want to be Hairy.

After, sleeping in until 11:30 (thanks Mama), we went and picked Luke up and began our huge Wal-Mart trip. I wrapped the weekend up with my favorite little man "just a swingin".
